Hello Seniors, Class of 2024, the following are scholarships that are available.  Please make sure to look at posted deadlines and make sure to read on the application to see if you must mail it out or deliver it directly to their organization or office address.  The only scholarships that will be collected in the counseling center are the ones that specifically state that.

Los Vigilantes Scholarship

Open to Imperial County High Schools. Must provide proof of being accepted into a College/University. Imperial Valley Kennel Club Scholarship

The Imperial Valley Kennel Club, a licensed officiate of the American Kennel Club annually provides scholarships to Imperial Valley students. The individual amount has varied from $200 to $2,000. You must be a graduating senior, who has the intention upon graduation of entering college and pursuing a curriculum and career in an animal or agriculture field, eg. animal husbandry, zoology, biology, entomology, veterinary medicine, animal health technology. etc. Completed application is to be received by the Imperial Valley Kennel Club Scholarship Committee by April 15, 2024. Imperial County Teachers Uniserv (CTA) Scholarship Application 2024

If you have a GPA of at least 3.0 you may qualify for a Uniserv Scholarship. These scholarships can be used at Community Colleges, Universities or Vocational Schools. Deadline to submit an application is Thursday, April 18, 2024. Fully completed applications must be at the Uniserv Office by 5:00pm on the 18th, the mailing postmark does not qualify the application. Anderson Family Foundation Community Service Scholarship

Eligibility :

1. Graduating Senior from Brawley Union High School, Brawley, CA
2. Acceptance to a four-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree
3. Community service

Scholarship Award: $1,000

Deadline: Applications must be postmarked or emailed (PDF format) by April 19, 2024.

2024 Republic Services Education Scholarship

Republic Services of Imperial Valley is proud to inform you that under the City of Brawley contract - three (3) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded this year to Brawley Union High School Seniors. Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation

Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation is an organization consisting of Brawley

Union High School graduates and friends who are committed to promoting equity

in education by annually offering scholarships to senior women from the Brawley

Union High School District.

This year, the Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation will award four (4)

scholarships of $1,000 each to BUHS or Desert Valley High School senior

women with a GPA of 2.2 or better. Senior women meeting this requirement are

encouraged to apply.

Eligible senior women interested in applying for the scholarships must complete

the Wildcat Women Scholarship Foundation Application. The application is

available as a Google Form which can be accessed on the Wildcat Women

Brawley Senior Citizen Get Together Club Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to graduating seniors and students planning to attend college in the Fall of 2024 only one scholarship per family, per year will be awarded. Students must have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0 to apply. Deadline to submit a complete a completed application to Ms. Castro in the counseling center is Monday, April 22, 2024 by 4pm. Hidalgo Society Inc. 2024 Scholarship

You must be a 2024 Graduating Brawley Union HS or Desert Valley Student. Applicant must be planning to attend a four-year University, Community College or Trade School. The Rene "RANA" Brown and Sam & Salwa Ellis Memorial Scholarship 2024

To support Imperial Valley high school seniors in their endeavor to seek a post-secondary education. To that end, the Calexico Baja Runners proudly announce the availability of multiple $500 scholarships to recognize outstanding seniors in our community. The Rene "Rana" Brown and Sam and Salwa Ellis Memorial Scholarship Application

Association of California School Administrators Region 18, Imperial Valley Charter Scholarship - This application is different than the one posted a few spots above. (You may apply to both if you qualify)

For Imperial County High School students who have been accepted to a four-year university/college or students planning to attend Imperial Valley College. Application must be returned to our counseling center by Friday, April 26, 2024 by 4:30pm. PEO Chapter WU Scholarship 2024

This scholarship is open to senior girls who might begin their college studies at IVC and then transfer to a 4 year university to complete their studies. The applicant must have at least a cumulative 3.5 GPA to apply. Special consideration is given to a young woman who will be the first in her family to attend college. Foundation for Education Scholarship 2024

The Foundation for Education is accepting applications for $500 scholarships to seniors in alternative education/continuation schools, and/or seniors with special needs/IEPs who will attend a career technical school, community college, or university in Fall 2024.

Last year, the Foundation for Education awarded twenty-seven $500 scholarships.

Students who wish to apply may submit a personal essay or a video, along with a completed application, two letters of recommendation, and their high school transcript.

For eligibility requirements and additional information on how to apply, please review the attached application packet.
The deadline to submit a scholarship application is 5:00 pm on Friday, April 26, 2024.

Frankie L. Chavez Memorial Scholarship 2024

Our Son Frankie and his friend Nathan Mata lost their lives in a tragic automoblile accident on December 4, 1993 when another driver ran a stop sign. Frankie had just graduated BUHS and had enrolled at IVC. As parents who have experienced the loss of a vibrant and active teenager, we felt the best way to keep our son's memory alive is by doing something positive for graduating high school seniors. Soon after with the help of family and friends we started this scholarship foundation. For BUHS 2024 graduating Seniors with a target GPA of 2.5-3.8. 2024 Brawley FFA Booster Club Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to Brawley Union High School Seniors in recognition of service, leadership, and academics, for the purpose of encouraging the recipients to continue their education at a career technical school, junior college or 4-year university. Open to Brawley High School seniors that will be attending college full-time in the Fall & with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average & minimum of 1 year of attendance in Brawley FFA.  

Scholarships: 1 - $1,500.00         2 - $1000.00        2 - $500.00.

Angelina Martinez Scholarship

Must be a 2024 BUHS graduate with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. You must have participated in any Brawley Softball League for at least 2 years or planning to pursue a career in the X-ray/Ultrasound Technician Field. Amberly Vasquez Scholarship

Must be a 2024 BUHS Graduate with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. You must have participated in any Brawley Cheer League for at least 2 years. Myers Family Scholarship

This scholarship is open to BUHS graduating Seniors.  Two $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded.  Students must attend a four-year university next Fall. Scholarship winners will be awarded the scholarship upon the receipt of proof of enrollment from their chosen school.  The application is now available in the BUHS Counseling Center or you may download a copy here Myers Scholarship Application   The deadline to return the completed application to Ms. Castro in the Counseling Center is Friday, May 3, 2024 

Munguia Math Scholarship 2024

Mr. & Mrs. Munguia have been giving a scholarship to high school Seniors since 2006 and have focused on students who have excelled in mathematics at BUHS and are enrolled in or have completed AP Calculus or AP Statistics.  We encourage students who are planning on continuing their studies at a university or community college to apply.  Although the recipient does not have to be focusing on math in college, we'd like for you to talk about the importance that math has had in your life so far and how it will help you in your studies and career in the future.

A program of Imperial Valley Masonic Lodge No. 390 Scholarship

Eligibility :

• Imperial Valley Masonic Lodge No. 390 will award one scholarship to qualified students with a current GPA of 3.25 (or higher) who enroll in and have been accepted to an accredited career technical school, community college, university, or a United States Military Academy. Roger W. Price Scholarship: A program of Imperial Valley Masonic Lodge No. 390

Eligibility :

• qualified high school students pursuing majors in the fields of Science, Psychology, or Medicine for the purpose of improving human health (including students majoring in Emergency Medicine for the purpose of becoming a Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician, and students majoring in Radiology, Surgery Technology, or Nursing). Blue Knights Justin Denault Memorial Scholarship

Realizing that the youth of today will be the future of tomorrow, the purpose of this scholarship is to honor the memory of our beloved Justin Denault. Justin was the son of two Blue Knights members; therefore, law enforcement was engrained in his blood as well as their love for motorcycle riding. Justin’s father gifted him a motorcycle that Justin rode proudly to Imperial High School. Justin’s legacy of love, respect for others and pursuit for higher education are the values that we would like to honor and seek in the leaders of tomorrow. The Blue Knights® International – Chapter X, El Centro, CA will make available one (1) $1,000.00 academic scholarship for students pursing higher education in one of the Law and Justice Field; Law Enforcement, Forensics, Criminal Justice and Pre-Law. Claddagh Club - The Imperial Valley Irish American Club Educational Scholarship 2024

Scholarships may be up to $1,000 for Spring 2024. A total of $5,000 has been allocated. Must be a U.S. Citizen and a graduating High School Senior from an Imperial Valley High School with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Deadline to submit an application is Friday, April 14, 2024. Imperial County AG Benefit Scholarship Program 2024

We seek individuals who are ready to contribute to the agricultural industry in this county through this scholarship program. Must be pursuing a degree in agriculture or a closely related field or pursuing a certificate for support of the agricultural industry. Imperial Valley Raider Nation Booster Club Scholarship

This scholarship is being offered to a senior student who has either been an athlete while attending their High School or been involved with the community. This scholarship is for students who will attend a Junior College or University and plan on continuing with sports. Please submit your complete application to Ms. Castro in the BUHS counseling center. Rockwood AG Services Scholarship

Rockwood Ag Services is pleased to announce we will be offering scholarships to deserving students. This is open to senior high school students and full-time IVC college students residing in Imperial County. Majoring or having an interest in the field of agriculture including Ag Business, agronomy, entomology, soils, or related fields with the objective of a career in pest management, agronomy, plant breeding or farming. Must have a minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.5. Application must be complete and postmarked no later than Thursday, March 28th, 2024. Region 18 of the Association of California School Administrators (San Diego and Imperial Counties) and the San Diego County School Boards Association are very pleased to offer ten $1,000 scholarships as a result of donations made by both organizations and our generous business partners.
 
Our scholarships provide an award for ten (10) public high school seniors who meet the following criteria: 
1) pursuing a career in education as a teacher or other certificated employee.
2) attend public high school in San Diego/Imperial Counties area.
3) show proven academic success with at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average.  
4) are involved in community service.
5) who may not necessarily qualify for other financial aid.

P.E.O California State Chapter Scholarships

My name is Gretchen Simms and I am writing to you on behalf of P. E. O. Chapter GW.  We are a women's organization whose focus is to raise money for scholarships for women.  The P. E. O. organization is an international group with chapters in the United States and Canada. There are 6 chapters in Imperial Valley.

We would like to make you aware of the P. E. O. California State Chapter Scholarships that are available to you.  The scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025 have recently been posted.   The completed applications are due on or before January 15, 2024  

There are four different categories from which to apply:

1) Dorothy L Weller  - pursuing a study in Law

2) Ethel O Gardener Scholarship - Janet H Griswold Memorial Scholarship -  Dorothy Halleck Education Scholarship - pursuing a variety of academic fields  including Education.

3) Ruth G White Scholarship Fund - Dorothy C. Wisner Scholarship - for  women studying medicine.

4) Scholarship Selection Committee - these are 40 separate scholarships awarded to women studying in a variety of academic fields and from specific geographic locations.

The Selection Committee will match you with the scholarship that aligns with your course of study.

25th Anniversary Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards

Applications for the 25th Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards are closing soon! Less than two weeks remain for the November 13th deadline.

We will celebrate and award students from the Class of 2024 with grants worth up to $4,000 to fund their higher education journey or fuel their community-based projects. We are looking for students who have made remarkable achievements in the classroom, made an impact in their communities, and demonstrated excellence across various educational categories.

Recipients will be celebrated in a series of virtual ceremonies and will be recognized in the following categories:

  • Community Service

  • Education

  • Engineering

  • Entrepreneurship & Business

  • Green Sustainability

  • Healthcare & Science

  • Media & Entertainment

  • Public Service & Social Justice

  • Technology

To be considered, students must:

  • Be currently enrolled in high school, graduating in the spring of 2024.

  • Hold a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or 7.5 on a 10.0 scale.

  • Enroll at an accredited higher education institution in 2024-2025.

  • Be of Hispanic heritage (including Spain, Brazil, Philippines).

  • Attend their virtual ceremony if selected.
