At our recent School Board meeting, the Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 25‑26‑16: Proclaiming February as Black History Month.
Black History Month honors the resilience, achievements, and cultural contributions of African Americans throughout our nation’s history. It reflects a powerful legacy of perseverance and the ongoing pursuit of equality in a country founded on the principles of freedom and liberty for all.
Brawley Union High School District Board of Trustees recognizes that each student needs an opportunity to understand the common humanity underlying all people; to develop pride in his or her own identity and heritage; and to understand, respect and accept the identity and heritage of others; and
With this resolution, Brawley Union High School District proclaims the month of February 2026 as Black History Month.
