On March 18th, Brawley Union High School proudly hosted its annual iCAN Succeed in College and Career event, a day dedicated to empowering students with the knowledge and confidence to pursue higher education and meaningful career pathways. The event brought together students, families, educators, and community partners for an engaging showcase of opportunities available both on campus and beyond.

The event also featured Career Technical Education pathways, with tables representing programs such as Nurse Assistant, Welding, Graphic Design and Construction. Students had the chance to speak directly with instructors and learn how these hands-on pathways can lead to certifications, real-world experience, and career readiness.

Campus life was equally well represented. Clubs such as Link Crew, the Literacy Society, and the Social Emotional Learning Committee shared information about their work and encouraged students to get involved.

Community partners also played a meaningful role in the event. Representatives from the Brawley Police Department, Brawley Fire Department, and Imperial County Public Health Department attended to share resources, answer questions, and highlight career opportunities in public service. Their involvement reinforced the strong relationship between BUHS and the broader Brawley community.
