On June 3nd 2025, seniors from across Brawley Union High School District set foot on their former elementary campuses in Brawley and Westmorland for the traditional senior walks. As they stepped into familiar hallways, greeted their former teachers and played on the same playground from a decade ago, nostalgia and celebration filled the air.

This senior walk was extra special, as most students had attended the same school since kinder. Both Westmorland Union Elementary and Magnolia Union Elementary are K-8 schools, meaning these groups of students had grown up alongside each other.

Parents also joined the celebration, cheering on their children as they paraded through the hallways. Since both schools are known for their close-knit community, seniors could spot family, friends and even students they coach in sports.

For Westmorland Roadrunners, this group of graduates holds a special place. This small town with strong bonds celebrates their graduates proudly. Seniors paraded down the halls and hugged teachers they have known since they were six and sat in the cafeteria they once had lunch in surrounded by friends.

For Magnolia Tigers the, Class of 2025, marks a meaningful milestone. They were the last class under former Superintendent and Principal Smith had before retiring in 2021. During their visit, seniors were able to take part in Q & A with students speaking about their favorite memories, high school advice and ambitions.

This event is more than a nostalgic walk, rather an inspirational parade for students. They serve as inspiration for younger students offering them a glimpse into their own future as Wildcat at Brawley Union High School.
