On June 4th, 2025, Desert Valley High School proudly celebrated the graduating Class of 2025. For Desert Valley Scorpions, graduation is more than just a ceremony, rather a moment to celebrate their hard work and perseverance.

The night began with the processional, followed by the national anthem performed by DVHS Music teacher Mendez and outstanding graduate Luis Lopez.

The Class of 2025 is composed of 64 graduates, including 13 Top Scorpions-students who have earned magma cum laude or cum laude honors and have represented the school’s core values.

Academic excellence was also recognized, with eight outstanding students honored in subjects including mathematics, science, fine arts and language arts. These outstanding students are Alexa Avalos, Rosalva Archuleta, Melissa Carillo, Ismale Mejia, Jesus Duarte, Angelina Rodriqugez, Luis Lopez and Adrian Rodgiuez Alvarez.

In addition to academic recognition, speeches were given from faculty and student leaders which reflected on their journey to the stage. As students at Desert Valley they followed their DVHS Core values of Respect. Which is not only something they carried throughout their time there but also into the next chapter of their life.

Superintendent Canalez, Principal. Leyva and Brawley Union High School District Board of Trustees then present diplomas signifying the years of hard work.

The night concluded with the traditional fireworks display as graduates cheered on alongside their familiars marking the end of their high school years.
