Brawley Union High School leads Imperial County in CAASPP Results

Every spring, 11th-grade students across California participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), which measures proficiency in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science. The California Department of Education has now released the official 2024–2025 CAASPP scores, and Brawley Union High School is proud to be leading the way in English and Mathematics.

These results reflect the dedication and perseverance of BUHS students and faculty, who continue to embody the district’s commitment to #ExcellenceIsOurStandard.

  • English Language Arts: 65.17% of BUHS students met or exceeded standards, compared to 41.59% across Imperial County and 48.82% statewide.

  • Mathematics: 26.80% of BUHS students met or exceeded standards, ranking first in Imperial County.

  • Science: 32.82% of BUHS students met or exceed standards, placing second in the county. This compares to 21.44% countywide and 32.66% statewide.

“I am beyond proud of everyone who has worked so diligently throughout the year,” said Principal Sanchez. “It’s a testament to our ability to improve our scores and bring our students to meet standards.”

This improvement highlights the school’s continued progress and commitment to academic excellence. In English Language Arts alone, scores have risen by 3% compared to last year, reflecting the hard work of both students and faculty.
