The Brawley Wildcats softball team closed out their 2026 season earning the title of CIF San Diego Section Division 3 Runner‑Up. Entering playoffs as the No. 1 seed, the Wildcats showcased grit, talent, and resilience through every round.

On May 28, Brawley took the field at the San Diego State University softball complex to face the Helix Scotties in the CIF Division 3 championship matchup. Despite a strong effort, the Wildcats fell 6–2.

Following the CIF finals, Brawley advanced to the CIF Southern Regional playoffs, where they battled the Grace Lancers in Simi Valley. The Wildcats continued to fight but ultimately came up short with a 9–3 loss, concluding their journey. Sophomore Kaitlyn Castro delivered, scoring a run in both the Helix game and the Southern Regional matchup.

Brawley wrapped up the year with a 9–3 Imperial Valley League record and a 19–22 overall season, finishing second in the IVL standings. But the season was defined by more than wins and losses. The Wildcats created lasting memories through special events including Down Syndrome Awareness Day, Autism Awareness Month, and Senior Night. With most games played at home, the team enjoyed strong community support and packed stands throughout the spring.
