Winter Sports Clearance Information: Basketball, Soccer, and Wrestling

Sports Clearance during lunch and after school only in the ASB Office or Ms. Munguia.
The Winter Season starts on Saturday, November 7th. BUHS practices will probably start the week of November 9th.

Winter Sports are Basketball (Boys & Girls), Soccer (Boys & Girls), & Wrestling (Boys & Girls).

More information about tryouts will be sent later this month.
Here are some details about Winter Sports Clearance.

Tickets To Play

In order to practice and try out on the first day, ALL athletes must have their Ticket to Play.

These are the dates to pick up your Ticket to Play from the ASB Office or Ms. Munguia’s Office:

Wednesday, October 28 - Wednesday, November 4th During Lunch or After School

Students should NOT leave class to clear.  They will be turned away.

If you are playing a Fall Sport, you need a new Ticket To Play for your Winter Sport.

Before you can pick up your ticket, you must complete your online registration at www.registermyathlete.com. If you already completed registration, log back in to make sure there is a ✅GREEN CHECK MARK next to the Winter Sport you want to play.

If you need to do your Medical Clearance physical, you must use the BUHS Medical form.  There are forms outside of Mr. Brewer’s Office in the New Gym.

ELIGIBILITY

Students must be eligible with Academics, Attendance, and Discipline.  We ask all students and parents to log into Aeries and check the ELIGIBILITY TAB to see if you are ok.  You cannot access this screen from the app . . . you have to log in from an internet browser.

If you owe any hours or your attendance is low, we encourage you to attend the Saturday Academies on October 10th and October 24th. All students received an email in their BUHS account with a link to register for October 10th.

The most common ways students get hours are UNEXCUSED ABSENCES, TARDIES, CELL PHONES, and DRESS CODE.

If you have any questions about athletics, please reach out to Mr. Billy Brewer at bbrewer@brawleyhigh.org.

If you have questions regarding eligibility, please contact your child’s counselor.

Thank you.

BIG SMILES is coming to BUHS! Our school has partnered with Big Smiles to provide in‑school dental care on October 27th in the Library during school hours. Dental care keeps students healthy, learning, and thriving — preventing pain, missed school days, and long‑term issues. Services may include exams, cleanings, X‑rays, fluoride, sealants, and cavity treatment.

Most students with Medicaid/CHIP receive care at no cost, and private insurance or affordable self‑pay options are available. Paper consent forms will be sent through tutorial, or you can sign up using the online consent form below. Please return paper forms as soon as possible.

Sign up today and keep your smile healthy! www.myschooldentist.com/39036_schsrm
