Imperial County Behavioral Health Services (ICBHS) will be hosting support groups for the community to assist adults and youth with the most recent tragedy. ICBHS staff will be onsite this Wednesday January 17th and Thursday January 18th from 4:30PM to 6:00 PM in the BUHS cafeteria. Check in time starts at 4:00 pm.

BUHSD has a partnership with Hazel Heart telehealth services to provide access to mental health services for all students while at home or at school. Services are available at home Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM to 7:00PM. There is no cost to families.

It is with sadness that we confirm a tragic accident occurred early this morning involving four individuals in the vicinity of the Cattle Call arena. We have been in close contact with local law enforcement throughout the day. At this time, the identities of those involved have not been officially released. We will work to assist our students and staff through this trying time and will proactively employ a grief support team to aid those who may be in need of assistance. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends who may have been impacted by this tragedy.

Congratulations to BUHS Class of 2022 Sergio who was recently sworn in as an Imperial County Sheriff's Office Correctional Officer. Our Law Enforcement CTE Teacher, Mr. Jeronimo Contreras, attended the ceremony to support him. We are so very proud of you and your commitment to the community.
